Empowering youth to recognize the hidden ties between urban living & biodiversity
We are building climate-resilient youth and healthier Melbourne ecosystems. Amid an alarming rise in environmental disconnect, the Urban Biodiversity Expo will connect young people directly with experts working on exciting local projects.
Event Outline
Students will get the chance to hear from those leading the charge in urban and rural biodiversity and innovation in Melbourne, and develop their critical thinking skills as they participate in a creative ideation hackathon focused on real-world solutions.

Through engaging presentations, hands-on workshops and interactive stalls, we aim to build critical awareness of links between biodiversity loss in the ocean and on land, climate change and extreme weather.
The Expo is an excellent platform for schools to support student engagement in environmental stewardship and future-focused learning.
